Initiators of the Allang Bersih clean-up campaign Isaac Huwaë and Rudi Sabandar have taken the initiative to start a clean-up action in Allang. Rudi received an invitation from one of the residents of the Nama Koli district to come to their residents' meeting.
I would like to inform you about the activities surrounding the Allang Bersih clean-up campaign. The clean-up campaign in my village Allang started at the beginning of February. Allang is located on the island of Ambon, southwest of Pattimura airport. It is the first village you see from the plane when you fly into Ambon. You can find our bimonthly newsletter Allang Bersih on social media. If you want to receive Allang Bersih, send an email to allangbersih@gmail.com
Monday, February 26, 2024, it was that time again. This time, the Sunday school children and their leaders were present again. Only the weather did not cooperate. It was raining and a lot of waste had washed up on the beach. The children and their leaders did not let the bad weather stop them and continued to clean up all the washed-up waste. With this newsletter, we hope to generate the funds that are desperately needed to support the campaign. Litter in the Moluccas has been a major problem for years. And this is also noticeable in Negeri Allang. The residents of Negeri Allang need our support. They want a clean Negeri and wholeheartedly support this campaign. In our opinion, this will also apply to more Negeris in the Moluccas. Perhaps this campaign can cause a snowball effect.
To organize activities around the litter problem in the Moluccas in cooperation with other environmental organizations in the Netherlands as well as in Indonesia. And in particular in Negeri Allang. So that the Moluccas will be free of waste and healthy for the next generations. Where it is pleasant to stay in a healthy and environmentally friendly environment. We can achieve this by sharing knowledge and skills and connecting people's talents.
With our efforts and passion, we are committed to preserving the environment and the earth. Building a strong network with stakeholders to preserve the environment and natural resources.
30 Sunday school children and 8 Sunday school leaders from the Immanuel church enthusiastically started cleaning up Pantai Nama Koli in village Allang.
The Sunday school children and their supervisors were present again at 5:00 pm. After the prayer they immediately started cleaning up the plastic waste. This time the children brought their ukulele.
If you would like to support the cleaning campaign ALLANG BERSIH, please transfer your monthly or one-off donation of €5 or more to ING account number NL96 INGB 0689 2409 10 in the name of R.M. Sabandar, stating ALLANG BERSIH.
The priority of these actions is in the village of Allang, in the districts of Namakoli and Welmaho. In the future we want to continue the cleaning actions to other districts in the village of Allang
In collaboration with Moluccan Color, a project of Moluccas Costal Care will start this year in the form of an Art Class in primary schools (sekolah dasar). Environmental education through art is a perfect way to pass on the importance of our message.
The Benefit Allang Bersih working group is now busy organizing a benefit evening for the benefit of our activities on July 5, 2025.
